How to get to Château de Launay
By car
From Paris the trip is 220km. Take the A13 direction Rouen / Caen for about 200km. After Pont l'Eveque, take the first exit from the motorway at La Haie Tondue. Cross the roundabout taking the D16 direction Lisieux. After 17km at Carrefour Saint Jean, take a right turn at the roundabout direction Caen. On entering Le Lion d'Or after 5km take the first turn right. Follow the rue des Ecoles for 700m and take the first turn right at the unhardened driveway through the fields.
From Lille (also for travellers coming from Belgium or the Netherlands) the trip is 370km. Take the A1 direction Paris. After about 90km take the E44 direction Rouen/Amiens. After 50km take the exit following the E44 direction Le Havre/Rouen. After 80km keep right following the A29. After 80km cross the bridges at Le Havre and continue the A29 for another 20km. Take the A13/E46 direction Lisieux/Caen. After Pont l'Eveque, take the first exit from the motorway at La Haie Tondue. Cross the roundabout taking the D16 direction Lisieux. After 17km at Carrefour Saint Jean, take a right turn at the roundabout direction Caen. On entering Le Lion d'Or after 5km take the first turn right. Follow the rue des Ecoles for 700m and take the first turn right at the unhardened driveway through the fields.

From the ring Caen east, take the exit 16 direction Pays d'Auge/Lisieux on the D613. Continue for 19km on the D613 direction Lisieux. In Le Lion d'Or, take the last exit left, just before the end of the village. Follow the rue des Ecoles for 700m and take the first turn right at the unhardened driveway through the fields.

By ferry from the UK
Brittany Ferries has up to three sails per day between Portsmouth and Caen.

The closest airport is Caen Carpiquet at 35km. Daily connections are available with Lyon and Paris Orly and regular connections with London Southend.
